Beware of Poisonous Sweet Peppers From Santa Cruz

The police are warning consumers not to purchase any sweet pepper in the Santa Cruz area of St. Elizabeth as thieves stole over 300-pounds of the produce which was sprayed with chemicals.


The peppers are believed to have been stolen between Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

It is recommended that the peppers not be ingested. It takes about ten days for the chemicals to wear off.
