Claro dealers are expected to seek answers from the international operators of Claro regarding the status of the Digicel-Claro merger.
Spokesperson for the Claro dealers, Yissi Geddes, said since August’s announcement of the approval, no more has been said on what will happen to the dealers when the merger is finalised.
Geddes said the dealers have been trying to get answers from the management of the company in Jamaica, but efforts have been futile.
She said a meeting will be arranged with other dealers to discuss whether to move ahead with plans to take legal action against Claro.
According to Geddes, local dealers are having great difficulties in maintaining their businesses as Claro product sales have significantly declined.
