Jamaica Nominated for Leading Destination Award

Jamaica is among four regional countries that will compete for the coveted title of “Caribbean’s Leading Destination” at a VIP World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony in Montego Bay, Jamaica on October 19.

The other nominated countries are St. Lucia, Barbados and the Bahamas.

Half Moon will vie against four hotels in Antigua, Turks and Caicos, Barbados and the Bahamas in the category of the “Caribbean’s Leading Hotel”.

The awards program, hailed as the “Oscars of the travel industry” will reward destinations, hotels, and organizations that have made the largest contribution to the travel and tourism industry over the past year.

The ceremony is set to attract top decision-makers from across the Americas and Caribbean.
