Jamaican Man Gets Five Years in US Prison For Lottery Scamming

A Jamaican man Oneike Mickhale Barnett was yesterday sentenced in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to serve 60 months in prison and 5 years supervised release, in connection to his role in a lottery scheme.

Oneike was ordered to pay US$94,456 in restitution.

“This sentence sends a strong message that the American justice system will not stand by while criminals defraud unsuspecting Americans of their savings”.
