Malaysia Airlines Offering Family Members $5,000 For Each Passenger on Flight 370

Malaysia Airlines said it is offered family members $5,000 for each passenger aboard the ill-fated Flight 370, and are preparing to make additional payments.


Grief, anger and doubt are soaring among families of the missing passengers, who remain skeptical after an announcement that the aircraft had crashed in the southern Indian Ocean and demand proof of the wreckage.

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said yesterday that the flight, which disappeared over the South China Sea while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8 with 239 passengers on board, had “ended in the southern Indian Ocean”.
