Head of the Lottery Scam Task Force Superintendent Leon Clunis has described deputy mayor of Montego Bay, Michael Troupe and the Councillor for the Salt Spring Division, Sylvan Reid as major players in the lottery scam.
They have been identified as Deputy Mayor of Montego Bay Michael Troupe (In Photo Above) of the Granville division and Sylvan Reid of the Salt Spring division .
The home of Mr. Troupe’s son who resides in the Rosevale housing scheme in Rose Hall was also raided.
Head of the task force Leon Clunis says they found J$380,000 and US$10,000 and an illegal firearm at the deputy’s mayor’s home.
A Lexus motor car said to belong one of the major players involved in the lottery scam who was arrested at a night club in St. Ann last night was reportedly found to be registered in Mr. Troupe’s name.
The police also seized several high end vehicles which were found at Mr. Reid’s (In Photo Below) home.
