UB40’s Kingston Town is Britain’s Top Holiday Song

UB40’s Kingston Town has been voted the best holiday soundtrack. Britons were asked to vote for their preferred holiday song, which would get them in a great mood when taking a road trip.

The survey showed that the veteran band earned 88% of those votes. Voters noted that it was the song that most reminded them of vacations abroad.

California Gurls by Katy Perry came in second, followed by Danza Kuduro by Don Omar ft. Lucenzo and Daft Punk’s latest big hit Get Lucky.

The ultimate holiday playlist also featured Madonna’s Holiday, which made it into ninth position, while The Beatles’ Here Comes the Sun came in sixth.

The survey of more than 2,000 Britons was carried out by the online travel agency, Sunshine.
