The US Embassy says, effective next week Friday, there will be a fee increase for certain consular services, including visa applications and the renunciation of U.S. citizenship.
However, fees for the Visitors Visa (B1/B2) have not changed.
It will now cost US$325 for family-based immigrant visas, while Fiance visas, known as K1 visas, will increase to US$265.
The fee for employment-based immigrant visa petitions will go down to J$345 while the fee to renounce U.S. citizenship will increase from US$450 to US$2,350.
Fees have also decreased for out-of-office consular services, such as depositions, moving from US$231 an hour, to US$135.
The Embassy in Kingston says, it processes 100-thousand non-immigrant visa applications and 12-thousand immigrant visa applications annually.
