USA To Start Importing Jamaican Mangoes

Starting next month, Jamaican mango exporters will be able to send their fruit to the United States. This follows a recent decision by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

Shipments will be allowed after October 20; however, the fruit will have to be produced free of pests.

It’s expected that Jamaica will send 261 metric tons to the US, or less than 1% of  the country’s mango imports.
