Wear Black on Friday in Protest Against The Jamaican Government’s ATM Withdrawal Tax

The Citizens’ Action for Principle and Integrity (CAPI) is urging Jamaicans to wear black on Friday, April 25 in protest against government’s recent tax on bank withdrawals.

CAPI in a release today said that the organization will launch an online protest initiative against the tax, which is scheduled to become effective June 1.

CAPI added that it is inviting the participation of churches, trade unions, all civil society stakeholders to join in its “civil protest against a tax which will prove deleterious to the economic health of the country and family”.
