They had started the day on 164 for 3, 344 runs behind.
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim 69 was among those to fall to the 25-year-old Guyanese whose match haul of 8 for 152 is the best by a West Indian in an away test since lance Gibbs’ nine wicket haul against India in 1975.
However, Kirk Edwards was awarded man-of-the-match for his 121 and 86.
Scores in the match are West Indies 355 and 383/5 declared, Bangladesh 231 and 278.
The win following the drawn first test will be a morale booster for West Indies who will journey to India on Thursday for a three-test series beginning on Saturday night.
